About Valerie Castano

I am one of those rare unicorns, a Charlotte Native, also called a Charlottean. My father was in real estate and secured locations for 7-Eleven convenience stores in the Southeast. We would ride through a town and I remember my Dad pointing out all the stores he had established. He was always my cheerleader and trusted advisor.

I married my high school sweetheart John, who is also from Charlotte. Together we raised 3 wonderful children and each went to local public schools. They all live in North Carolina. We now have 4 beautiful grandchildren with one more on the way. To say we are blessed is an understatement. Our family has  attended Weddington Methodist church since 1990 and we have seen Union County explode in growth.

My volunteerism has included Weddington Methodist VBS co chair, McKee Road Elementary, Crestdale Middle and Providence High PTA's. PHS Athletic booster club, Raintree ( Timberidge) HOA board treasurer,March Forth with Hope Silent Auction chair, Kyle Petty Charity Ride Team member and ChiChi' to my grandchildren! I have a heart for children and the elderly, each making my heart grow larger.

In 2003, once my youngest child was in grade school, I obtained my brokers license beginning a successful career that I truly love.  I have made lifelong friends in this business. My referral business from past clients is sometimes 5-6 deep and each one is a reminder of how honored I am to have them in my life. 

My knowledge of our areas and its rich history is exciting to share with new clients. Charlotte has certainly grown, but still has that Southern Charm. We have so much to offer and I love helping buyers find that right fit. My extensive knowledge of new construction and wonderful relationships with builders is insight I can share with my clients. I want every buyer to explore their possibilities.

I equally love assisting my sellers prepare their home for todays ever changing market. From current CMA's, to staging, to professional photos and virtual tours, each are crucial steps in my process. Not until we have your home "Show Ready" do we go on the market, always placing our "best foot forward". This is our chance to Shine! My personal connections give me the opportunity to make sure your newly listed home is not kept a secret. My realtor partners know that my listings are well thought through and I am excited to share them with others. My dad taught me to "believe in what you do" and it will show.
